What allows this Q-Type spring to work in the older secondary clutch is to make sure the swivel washer is placed in correct sequence inside the clutch.  The swivel washer must be place in between the helix and white-spring-cover, then press down on helix.

Any Q-Type secondary spring will work fine in the older RER(HPV) secondary clutch.
